Plenty of agencies and small teams run their whole week in ClickUp. Client feedback on a website, though, tends to arrive somewhere else — an email thread, a call, a PDF of screenshots — and someone has to turn it into tasks by hand.
PinReview sends feedback straight to ClickUp. A reviewer pins a comment on the page, and a task appears in the ClickUp list you chose, with the screenshot attached and a priority already set.
What ends up in the ClickUp task
- Task name — the title the reviewer wrote
- Description — their comment, the page URL, severity, who reported it, browser and viewport size, formatted in Markdown
- Console errors — any JavaScript errors captured on the page, in a code block
- Screenshot — uploaded as an attachment, with the pin drawn on it
- Priority — taken from the PinReview severity: Critical → Urgent, High → High, Normal → Normal, Low → Low
- A link back — "View #42 in PinReview", which opens the task with its full history
On the PinReview board, the task shows a link to the ClickUp task, so you can jump between the two.
Set it up in a few minutes
1. Copy your ClickUp API token
In ClickUp, open Settings → Apps. Under API Token, generate a token if you don't have one, then copy it. It starts with pk_.
2. Connect
- In PinReview, open your project's Integrations and choose ClickUp.
- Paste the token and click Continue.
- PinReview lists every list you can reach, shown as Space / Folder / List. Pick the one feedback should go to. A filter box appears when there are lots of them.
- Choose whether to create tasks automatically for every new piece of feedback, then click Connect ClickUp.
Click Test on the connected row to check the token later. Integrations are included on PinReview's paid plans.
Automatic or one at a time
Automatic works when every report is real work: internal QA, or a launch week where speed matters more than tidiness.
Manual works better for client rounds. Leave automatic creation off, triage on the PinReview board, then open a task and use Send to… → ClickUp for the items worth doing. Questions and duplicates never reach your ClickUp list.
You can connect several lists — say, a "Website bugs" list and a "Content changes" list — and choose per task where it goes.
Things to get right
Give feedback its own list. A dedicated "Website feedback" or "Client review" list keeps incoming items separate from planned work until someone has looked at them. Move tasks into sprints from there.
Mind whose token it is. Tasks are created as the ClickUp user whose token you pasted, and PinReview only sees the lists that user can see. If a list is missing from the picker, check that user has access to its Space.
Decide where status lives. The connection is one-way: completing a task in ClickUp doesn't move it in PinReview. Close the loop on the PinReview board so clients can see their feedback was handled.
Keep questions on the PinReview task. Clients can't see ClickUp comments. Anything you need to ask the reporter belongs on the task they created.
If it doesn't work
- "ClickUp rejected the credentials" — the token is wrong or was regenerated. Copy the current one from Settings → Apps and reconnect.
- The list isn't in the picker — the token's user can't see that Space or list. Share it with them, then click Change list on the connected row.
The bottom line
Connect ClickUp with your API token, pick a list, and website feedback becomes a ClickUp task with the screenshot attached and the priority set. Your team keeps working in ClickUp; your clients keep pointing at the page.
